As part of our DT topic on Healthy Food, the children in Year 3 have been exploring different food groups, different types of bread and considering healthy fillings.
On Friday 5 October, we would like the children to bring in ingredients to make their own sandwich – both the bread and fillings. They will plan this in class and the focus is on a healthy sandwich, (for example brown or wholemeal bread, salad etc.) so hopefully the children will have included some healthy ingredients in their plans! The children will design their sandwich and bring home their own list of ingredients on Friday 28 September.
They will need enough ingredients to make a sandwich just for themselves. The ingredients should be brought to school clearly labelled in a bag or box with their name and class.
Please ensure that children do not bring in anything which contains nuts.
