Sudley Computing Intention
At Sudley Junior school we intend to ensure all children have a solid foundation of knowledge and skills in computing. In order to develop computational thinking and creativity, we know that quality first teaching in computing and access to up to date resources and programs is vital. We understand that in an ever changing technological world, a knowledge of systems (both natural and artificial) helps us to understand and change the world.
Computing is a subject which is heavily anchored in all others: it has deep links with mathematics, science, and design and technology. Many subjects function better alongside a sound knowledge of computing. By ensuring that our children become digitally literate, we are helping them to be able to express themselves and to develop their ideas through, information and communication technology. The end goal of our computing intention is to enable all of our children to function at a level suitable for the future workplace and as active participants in a digital world.
